Tbilisi City Tour + Ethnographic Museum
Маршрут и детали
Tbilisi is the capital of Georgia, which has absorbed so many eras and cultures that even local residents do not know all the mysteries and secrets that the labyrinths of this warm and beautiful city keep. Beautiful carved balconies, unique front doors, famous Tbilisi courtyards - this is what the city is famous for.
We invite you to an author's excursion around the city!
The first point of our tour will be the Ethnographic Museum of Georgia - The Ethnography Museum was opened in 1966 thanks to the efforts of the historian and ethnographer Georgiy Chitai. It is a large area of land (about 52 hectares) on which are located dwellings from many regions of Georgia and different eras.
Among them are representatives of: Adjara, Abkhazia, Ossetia, Kakheti, Guria, Imereti, Racha, Meskheti, Javakheti, Svaneti, Khevsureti, Samegrelo, Lechkhumi and Kartli. There are 14 of them and in accordance with them the museum is divided into zones of the same name.
Almost all the houses are originals and were transported to the museum territory in detail. Therefore, externally you will see real old houses built in different centuries using different technologies, and inside there is a large amount of furniture, dishes, jewelry, clothes and weapons.
During a walking tour with a professional guide, we will climb the Narikala Fortress, see Tbilisi from a bird's eye view, visit the fig gorge and the complex of famous sulfur baths, walk along the alleys of the famous Shardeni district.
At the end of the tour, we will taste famous Georgian wines in one of the city's marani.
