Today we will go to the wonderful world of canyons and caves of Georgia. Our tour will begin with a visit to the Martvili canyons. Martvil Canyon over the past couple of years has become very popular among tourists. Interest in this area is a fascinating kilometer canyon with a waterfall and recent finds of paleontologists. According to official data, traces of primitive man and prehistoric animals that lived on the earth 73 million years ago, as well as preserved traces of dinosaurs and their petrified skeletons were found here. Afterwards we will visit Archeopolis - a fortress city in western Georgia. Next we will go to the unique Prometheus Cave - Legend says that somewhere in this area angry gods chained a young man to a rock for transmitting divine fire to people. Over the years, every passing traveler saw all the torments of a recalcitrant youth named Prometheus. In honor of him, the former president of Georgia, Mikhail Saakashvili, тnamed this karst cave in the cave of Prometheus in 2010.
