We begin the assimilation of Azerbaijan with a tour of the city of Baku, which is one of the oldest and colossal cities of the East in ancient times, located on the border of Europe and Asia. Baku is the largest cultural center of Azerbaijan. It was here that the first national theater in the Muslim East raised the curtain, the first opera sounded, the first Azerbaijani newspaper began to be published, and the first Azerbaijani library was opened.
Today in Baku there are 30 museums, 7 theaters, 11 universities, a philharmonic society, an opera house, a film studio, cinemas, libraries located in the most beautiful buildings of the city, whose external decoration is in no way inferior to the internal cultural content.
The view of the city, presented from the height of the Nagorny part near the television tower, clearly gives an idea of the contrasts and scale of Baku. The city resembles the shape of an amphitheater descending down to the Caspian Sea. We are waiting for an acquaintance with Baku Boulevard.
Baku Seaside Boulevard is one of the attractions of Baku, a favorite vacation spot for Baku people and visitors.
Visit to the FIRST oil well in the world.
Next we will visit the cultural center of Heydar Aliyev, one of the most beautiful and modern buildings in the world in recent years. It was built by the famous architect Zaha Hadid. Unusual interior lines of this object and a beautiful light play prompt visitors to visit temporary, often historical, exhibitions that represent the culture of Azerbaijan. Of course, lovers of modern architecture will remember this unique place for a long time. Around the center you can see the panorama of the city with the well-groomed greenery of the center of Aliyev, which is one of the few characteristic and favorite public places in Baku.

At the place where this temple stands, natural gas comes out of the earth, and in contact with oxygen, natural combustion occurs. The building that can be seen now, was built in the 17-18 centuries by the Hindu community from the Sikh caste. But the history of the temple is much older. Long before this, there was an ancient sanctuary of the Zoroastrians who endowed the fire with special, mystical properties and came to worship the shrine.
After Azerbaijan was conquered by the Arabs, and the locals converted to Islam, the authorities destroyed the temple, and many fire-worshipers were forced to leave and leave for India. But in the 15-17 centuries, fire-worshiping Indians came here again with caravans of merchants, who began to make a pilgrimage to the site of an ancient sanctuary. In the former cells, where pilgrims from all over the world stayed, nowadays there are museum expositions containing many unique authentic exhibits.
